As you probably know by now, I’m Alex Victtoria and it’s so nice to meet you!
If this is your first time stopping by, welcome! And if you have been here before I want to give you a virtual hug and THANK YOU! If you have been poking around the site you may notice a lot of exclamation points, a seemingly big personality and lots of topics. That’s because I want to show up as authentically for YOU as I possibly can, albeit virtually.
If you meet me in person you will likely notice a few things right off the bat – I’m loud and have some strong features. My mom is from Sicily and even though I have never been to Italy (you can read more about why I haven’t been to Italy yet in this post) my mom and her family were very much the epitome of an Italian family. They are all very loud, have wild and unique personalities and everyone is a fabulous cook. I grew up in a small suburb outside of Little Rock, AR, but I never truly felt “at home” there. I met my husband in college and we fell in love even though we are polar opposites. Over the years we have developed a mutual love for the outdoors, our amazing pack of animals, and decorating our home. We also finally feel at home in a small town in Northwest Arkansas. I never thought those words would leave my lips… I always wanted to be a city girl. But, here we are over three years into living in this little gem. Right now, I wouldn’t trade this life for anything – especially with the current pandemic and state of the world.
I love wine, running, crafting and DIY, anything related to the outdoors and my husband and animals. Oh, the animals… you need to know more about them for sure. Check out the blog as I’m sure they will pop in from time to time. Our pack includes – Sonji, a Korat (look it up if you don’t know) he is a nearly 30 lb all grey cat with bright lime green eyes, he’s stunning and my baby. I’ve had him for OVER 10 years, which is truly insane to me because he still acts like a kitten. He also rules the house right behind me. 😉 Brutus is a blind pug who is about 8 yrs old, he’s cute but kind of stinky in his old age, I blame it on his rolls. LOL. Cain came next, he is a German Shepherd mix and we rescued him from a friend of ours who was trying to make sure he got a good home. He’s all black and gorgeous, he’s also very sweet but kind of a punk because he loves to steal food off the counters. And last, but certainly not least, our Atlas. He is a 5 year old Belgian Malanois and he’s literally the smartest dog I’ve ever known. Like, he for real understands English – it’s weird and kinda creepy. We love this crazy pack of animals and we all live together in a 1,400 sq ft home near downtown. It’s a wild time, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
WHEW, I’m also long-winded, clearly… but I’ll try to keep my blog posts short and to the point. I hope we can become besties and truly get to know one another! Drop me a note any time and I’ll make sure to connect with you.
